The annual Easter Convention is a highlight in the life of the MTCC.  It has been a regular event for over 60 years and has encouraged many Christians in their faith. We are excited to announce our two Bible teachers, Peter Francis and Ben Pfahlert.

Let’s find out some more about them.

Peter Francis is Principal of Malyon Theological College and lectures in the areas of Missions and Old Testament. Peter is married to Wendy who is the National Director for Politics with the Australian Christian Lobby. Together they have three married children and eleven grandchildren. After a 10-year career as a high school teacher, Peter entered Pastoral ministry and served as a pastor for around 22 years at Cleveland Baptist, Beenleigh Baptist, and the City Tabernacle Baptist. Over the years Peter and Wendy have also been involved in a wide range of short-term missions in places such as PNG, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, South America and Belarus. Peter has a passion for the preaching and teaching of God’s Word and is committed to the development and equipping of a new generation of faithful gospel workers. In 2011 Peter joined the faculty of Malyon Theological College, before being made Principal in 2017.

Ben’s deepest desire is that people come to know and follow Jesus. Married to Emma with four children, he relocated with his family from Melbourne to take the role of Ministry Training Strategy, (MTS) Director – such is his passion for the MTS vision to raise up future gospel workers. One of seven children, Ben became a Christian aged 19 whilst studying engineering and has desired that his fellow Australians meet King Jesus ever since. When Ben’s not racing for the train and praying for his street, his neighbourhood and the nation – he enjoys time with his family, SAS novels and physical training…
