What is Y?

Spark is a Christian conference for young adults (18–30ish) to encourage you to live for Jesus with all that you are. It’s here to keep shining the light of God’s word into your life: calling you to forsake the things that are trivial and dedicate your whole life to Jesus Christ, no matter where He has placed you and what He has called you to do.

Across one full weekend, we’ll gather to hear from God’s Word, worship together, ask big questions and encourage one another to consecrate our whole lives to Jesus Christ. There’ll also be time to reflect, rest, recharge and build community together!

Steven Tran was a Buddhist who discovered that Jesus made so much more sense of this life. After reading ‘A Case For Christ’ (Lee Strobel), he was convinced Jesus was not only real, but that his life and message made much more sense of this life and world. Steven studied at Queensland Theological College. He is the Senior Pastor at SLE Church in Brisbane, where he lives with his wife Steph, and three children.

Steven’s blog Transforming Thoughts explores theology, life, and culture through the lens of the gospel. Steven also enjoys a variety of hobbies, particularly photography, coffee, and cooking.
